Perform cosmetic repairs on Remanufactured products, focusing on detailed touch-up with paints, inks, clear finishes, and appliqués.
Develop and implement specialized rework, and repair processes to recover and reintroduce product in a cost effective manner.
Train and direct operators in repair techniques as required supporting Remanufacturing operational requirements.
Repair units in a timely manner and return to process.
Work closely with Core Team, and Engineering to resolve complex problems in Remanufacturing.
Identify in process issues and document root cause information.
Provide feedback at the appropriate level to eliminate the root cause of issues.
Use, develop and maintain a variety of tools for cosmetic rework.
Work to develop new techniques to recover and reintroduce more product in a cost effective manner.
Ability to read work instruction, diagnose problems, and operate repair stations associated cosmetic repair. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of cosmetic repair tools and techniques. Prior touch up painting experience preferred. Must be able to work with minimum supervision, make sound judgment and pay close attention to detail. Capable of documenting techniques and developing work instructions. Must have 2 years experience in a technical leadership role or relevant experience as a repair specialist.
EDUCATION:
--A 2-year Technical Degree or relevant experience is required.
--Instructor training or relevant experience is preferred.
